Shoshone, Boise, ID 83706, on August 10, 2018: the employer did not protect each employee in its excavation by properly sloping or using appropriate protective systems while working in an excavation with type C soil measuring approximately 12' deep, 10.2' long, 3.7' wide, with vertical walls. Standing water was present and the excavation was in a residential road. The employer had installed a hydraulic speed shore but did not have shoring.
