29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: (a) C Estrada Framing, LLC Located at 1168 Sandstone Circle, Erie, CO 80516: On and preceding August 18, 2018, the employer did not ensure that ladders used for access to an upper landing surface extended at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access. Two employees were installing trusses on a residential ranch style home. The framers used an 8' A-frame ladder to access the upper landing which was 10' or more. This exposed employees to falls from height.
