29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: The employer did not protect employees from fall hazards. This was most recently documented on August 20, 2018 at the South Bay Shipping Department when the employer did not select or have employees use personal protective equipment. Employees were exposed to a fall distance of approximately 4 feet 10 inches, from trailer bed to ground without the use of fall protection.
