29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about 8/24/18; Location: Roof of the Quality Inn building; 1) An employee engaged in roofing activities on a four stories building was exposed to fall hazard while not being tied off to an anchoring point or safety lanyard. Employees working on the roof were wearing their harnesses, however one employee was not tied off for several minutes while walking on the roof. No lanyard was observed to be attached to his hook.
