29 CFR 1917.42(a)(2): All loose gear, such as slings, chains, bridles, blocks, and hooks, was not inspected by the employer or their authorized representative before each use and during its use, to ensure that it was safe. a) Facility: On or about August 22, 2018, employees were using two synthetic web slings that had cut and torn threads. No inspection on the slings was performed prior to use.
