29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. At the establishment, in the metal castings department, employees operating the Tabor cut off Saw, model 2375, with a 20" blade, was not equipped with a point of operation guard, exposed employees to amputation hazards. Midland Manufacturing Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1123219, Citation Number 1, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 28, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 4800 Esco Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76140.
