29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying debris: a) Employees operating a Horizontal band saw, model # 1600, serial # 16121427, that was not guarded at the point of operation were exposed to hazards created by ingoing nip point hazards. b) On or about September 11, 2018, at E. Dean Machine, Inc., employees were operating a Vertical band saw that was not guarded at the point of operation were exposed to in going nip point hazards. d) On or about September 11, 2018, at E. Dean Machine, Inc., employees were operating a Central Drill Press that was not guarded at the point of operation were exposed to in going nip point hazards and flying debris. e) On or about September 11, 2018, at E. Dean Machine, Inc., employees were operating a 120v Porter Cable Drill Press, serial # 03963827, that was not guarded at the point of operation were exposed to in going nip point hazards and flying debris. f) On or about September 11, 2018, at E. Dean Machine, Inc., employees were operating a Rigid Drill Press, model # BP155011600, serial # AM07307374, that was not guarded at the point of operation were exposed to in going nip point hazards and flying debris. g) On or about September 11, 2018, at E. Dean Machine, Inc., employees were operating a Bench Matic drill press that was not guarded at the point of operation were exposed to in going nip point hazards and flying debris.
