29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition: 107 Main St, Hatfield, MA On September 13, 2018 and at times prior, powered industrial trucks were operated that were in need of repair. Employees were using five (5) powered industrial truck (PITs) with inoperative horns and emergency brakes. A September 25, 2018 inspection by an outside contractor resulted in repair of the horns and emergency brakes and other safety-related items on the five trucks.
