29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields: a) On or about September 13, 2018, in the welding and general manufacturing area, the employer failed to ensure that employees working in areas adjacent where welding operations were conducted with metal inert gas (MIG) equipment were protected from exposure to UV light and against radiant energy by enclosing the operation with noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields.
