29 CFR 1910.179(l)(3)(iii)(d): The employer did not ensure that pendant control stations were kept clean and function labels kept legible. a) On or about September 14, 2018, the ABI Building West 2 Ton overhead bridge crane pendant control buttons for the north/south trolley movement had missing labeled rubber button covers. b) On or about September 14, 2018, the ABI Building East 10 ton DeShazo overhead bridge crane pendant control buttons for the hoisting had missing labels on the button covers. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.179(n)(4)(i): The employer did not ensure that at the beginning of each operator's shift, the upper limit switch of each hoist shall be tried out under no load. a) On or about September 14, 2018, the operator of the ABI Building West 2 Ton overhead bridge crane did not perform an upper limit switch check at the beginning of his shift. b) On or about September 14, 2018, the operator of the ABI Building East 10 Ton DeShazo overhead bridge crane did not perform an upper limit switch check at the beginning of his shift. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
