29 CFR 1910.243(a)(1)(i): Portable power driven circular saw(s) having a blade diameter greater than two inches were not equipped with guard(s) below the base plate or shoe which automatically and instantly returned to the covering position when the tool was withdrawn from the work: a) Production area - On or about September 10, 2018, the employer did not ensure the Makita circular saw was equipped with a guard below the base plate, which automatically and instantly returned to the covering position when the saw was withdrawn from the work. Employees were thereby exposed to amputation hazards.
