29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(ii): The employers did not provide employees with effective information and training on the physical, health, simple asphyxiation, combustible dust, and pyrophoric gas hazards, as well as hazards not otherwise classified, of the chemicals in the work area. a) On or about September 19, 2018 or prior thereto: Employees were working with Kaady Chemical Tire, Wheel & Body Cleaner, product #K-45, Mild Alkaline Cleaner. The product contains Monoethanolamine and Isopropyl Alcohol. The employer did not adequately inform workers of potential symptoms such as eye, nose, throat and skin irritation from contact, and related first aid measures. NOTE: Abatement certification IS required for this item.
