(b) Garage The foot treadle on Niagra Power Squaring shears (Cat#78-B) was not guarded from unattended operation. Condition observed on or about 9/18/2018

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) Garage area Niagra Power Squaring shear was not properly guarded to prevent employees' hands from contacting the pinch point created by hold downs. The 1 1/2"opening from the bottom of the guard to the top of the shear frame did not prevent employees from the pinch points located 4 7/8" behind the guard. b) Machine shop Verson 60 Ton mechanical press brake (s/n 13196-206) was not guarded to prevent entry of hands into the point of operation. c) Machine shop Accurpress hydraulic brake was not guarded to prevent entry of hands into the point of operation. Condition observed on or about 09/18/2018
