29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: On or about September 24, 2018, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that flexible cords were connected to devices to prevent strain relief as follows: a. On the DeWalt Hammer Drill the power cord had the outer sheathing pulled away from the receptacle plug and from the body of the tool, exposing employees to the hazard of electrical shock. b. On the red and black, 50-foot extension cord the outer sheathing was pulled away from the receptacle plug, exposing employees to the hazard of electrical shock.
