29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Treasure Valley Family YMCA, West Boise YMCA - Aquatics Center, pool activity area and lifeguard desk: On or about September 25,2018 and at times prior thereto; lifeguards were required to use Betco, pHQ7, a Category 1 corrosive mixture with 3.2% didecyldimethylammonium chloride and Quaternary ammonium compounds, benzyl-C12-16-alkyldimethyl, chlorides to clean pool floor surfaces where access to facilities with quick drenching capabilities for the eyes and skin were located behind a locked, controlled access door. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii): Treasure Valley Family YMCA, West Boise YMCA - Aquatics Center, pool activity area and lifeguard desk: On or about September 25,2018 and at times prior thereto; the employer had not established a written hazard communication program for lifeguards required to use Betco, pHQ7, a Category 1 corrosive mixture with 3.2% didecyldimethylammonium chloride and Quaternary ammonium compounds, benzyl-C12-16-alkyldimethyl, chlorides to clean pool floor surfaces without access to facilities with quick drenching capabilities for the eyes and skin, a current Safety Data Sheet (SDS), or training on how to use one. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.
