An employee sustained injuries to left ring/middle fingers.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.: 1). On or about 10/01/2018, at the Ty Cell part of building, employee(s) engaged in drilling operations using a 20" Shop Fox Drill Press, Model #M1039, with an unguarded chuck and drill bit used for drilling Titanium parts with different shapes and sizes. 2). On or about 10/01/2018, at the Ty Cell part of building, employee(s) engaged in drilling operations using a 20" Jet Drill Press, Model #J-2550, Serial #14071870, with an unguarded chuck and drill bit used for drilling Titanium parts with different shapes and sizes. 3). On or about 10/01/2018, at the Ty Cell part of building, employee(s) engaged in drilling operations using a 20" Arboga Machine Drill Press, 5/8 chuck, with an unguarded chuck and drill bit used for drilling small parts. 4). On or about 10/01/2018, at the Ty Cell part of the building, employee(s) engaged in drilling operations using a drill press, illegible Model/Serial numbers, with an unguarded chuck and drill bit used for drilling small parts.
