29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b). Worksite: The employer did not ensure that the employee working in the residential building under construction and/or renovation was protected from fall hazards above 6 feet by the use of guardrails, safety nets, a personal fall arrest system or by other means. On or about August 7, 2018, one of employees engaged in the above tasks stepped onto a rotted joist in the attic area and fell approximately 7 feet 8 inches to the lower floor, and the employee sustained severe multiple from the incident.
