29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) At 861 Edwards Ave., Fairhope, Alabama: On or about October 3, 2018 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform roofing activities without fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 15.6 feet to the ground below. THE ELDI MENDEZ DBA ANDREAS CONTRACTING WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1279336, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JANUARY 11, 2018, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 507 WEST BEACH BOULEVARD, GULF SHORES, ALABAMA AND IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1295971, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON APRIL 24, 2018, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 930 WEST BEACH BLVD., LAS PALMAS, GULF SHORES, ALABAMA.
