29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 10/3/2018, on the flat roof leading to the pitched roof area located at 1350 Walton Way, Augusta, GA: Employee accessing, egressing, walking, inspecting, and bring material on the unprotected sides of the flat roof surface area, was not protected from a fall hazard from heights up to about 12 feet 6 inches from ground level. The employer failed to protect the employee from falling from the unprotected side by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.
