29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 10/4/2018 on the metal platforms inside and outside the facility at 7400 Gordon McIntyre Road, Gordon, GA: Employees using the unprotected platforms as a walking and working surface to gain access to the stairways and other work areas of the site were exposed to a fall hazard up to 30 feet or more from ground level. a. Several areas on the metal platforms used by the employees outside the facility were unprotected from a fall hazard. b. Several areas on the metal platforms used by the employees inside the facility were unprotected from a fall hazard.
