29 CFR 1926.452(b)(3): On straight run scaffolds, longitudinal bracing across the inner and outer rows of posts was not installed diagonally in both directions, and shall extend from the base of the end posts upward to the top of the scaffold at approximately a 45 degree angle. On scaffolds whose length is greater than their height, such bracing was not repeated beginning at least at every fifth post. On scaffolds whose length is less than their height, such bracing was not installed from the base of the end posts upward to the opposite end posts, and then in alternating directions until reaching the top of the scaffold. Bracing was not installed as close as possible to the intersection of the bearer and post or runner and post. On or about 10/4/2019, on the outside platform located at 7400 Gordon McIntyre Road, Gordon, GA: The ladder frame scaffold system used by the employees to install metal pipes was observed with missing cross braces installed on the inner and outer post. Employees working on the scaffold systems were exposed to a fall hazard up to 18 feet from ground level. There were two ladder frame scaffolding systems erected on the platform area.
