29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): (1) Walking-working surfaces are inspected, regularly and as necessary, and maintained in a safe condition: On or about October 12, 2018, the employer did not inspect and maintain the walking-work surface of the yard where employees operate powered industrial vehicles. Operators were required to drive over uneven/cracked surfaces when tasked with retrieving pallets of plastic bottle trays used to stack the beverages in, which could pose a hazard to due instability of the vehicle and load.
