29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) As observed on or about 10/24/2018 at the printing shop, ingoing nip points were not guarded at the DGM 430 press 4-unit towers: 1) tower A had two plate guards missing, 2) tower B had five plate guards missing, 3) tower C had five plate guards missing, 4) tower D had six plate guards missing, 5) tower E had eight plate guards missing, and 6) tower F had eight plate guards missing.
