OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to lacerations and struck-by hazards from handling a large panel of glass that shattered due to the inappropriate manner in which the glass was physically handled: (a) Worksite: On or about 9/14/2018, the employer did not ensure that employees had the appropriate tools, equipment and training to properly and safely handle large panels of glass. The glass panels were approximately four feet wide, seven feet long and weighed approximately 400 pounds. Employees carried the glass panels in a flat position instead of keeping them vertical.
