Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards associated with truss collapse such as but not limited to falls, struck by and caught between hazards. On or about October 9, 2018 and at times prior, employees working from and around the wood frame building were not protected from hazards associated with a truss collapse due to the lack of top chord, bottom chord and web member lateral and diagonal bracing.
