29 CFR 1928.57(b)(2)(i): The mesh or nip-points of all power driven gears, belts, chains, sheaves, pulleys, sprockets, and idlers shall be guarded.  On or about September 30, 2018 an employee was operating a twelve row self propelled ear corn picker without main belt drive guards.  The unguarded drive belts were adjacent to and along the access deck between the operator's cab and the rear mounting ladder.  This condition presented a caught-in hazard that could result in an amputation to employees.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
