29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. On or about October 17, 2018, employees installing cement-board to the exterior of a commercial property were exposed to struck by hazards while employees handed cement-board sheets to the second level from the first level when the employer failed to ensure hard hats were utilized. No abatement certification or documentation is required of this item.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. On or about October 17, 2018, employees installing cement-board to the exterior of a commercial property were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 14.5 feet when the employer failed to ensure fall protection was utilized. No abatement certification or documentation is required of this item.
