29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. At the jobsite, employees operating Paslode nail guns while performing framing activities were not wearing eye protection, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by flying objects. Candido Castillo was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1189226, Citation Number 1, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 1, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 235 Thoroughbred, Waxahachie, Texas 75165.
