What this inspection record means

OSHA opens inspections for many reasons: routine scheduling under a national or local emphasis program, an employee complaint or referral, or a follow-up after a reported injury. Opening or conducting an inspection is not itself an allegation or a finding that this employer broke any rule; any findings appear as the citations listed below, and citations can be contested, reduced, or withdrawn.

29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use: (a)Eichstadt Construction at 950 Linden Avenue, Wolsey, SD 57384: On or about and at times prior to November 1, 2018, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from serious injury while using of an elevated work platform which was not designed, constructed, or used in accordance with the requirements of the rough terrain forklift manufacturer. (250 mm) on either side. (2)Paragraph (f) which states, "information prominently indicated on the platform: (1) maximum work load including personnel and equipment; (2) weight of empty platform."
