29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicates that any employee's exposure may equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer shall develop and implement a monitoring program. a. Shop - On or about January 16, 2019, an employee working on the timber profiler and logline-notcher was exposed to noise levels at 67.2% of the permissible daily noise dose or an equivalent of 87.1 dBA during the 198 minute sampling period which exceeded the action level of 83.8 dBA or 42.5% based on a 9.5 hour work shift. The employer failed to conduct representative noise monitoring for employees using or working near powered wood working equipment.

Shop - On or about January 16, 2019, an employee working on the timber profiler and logline-notcher was exposed to noise levels at 67.2% of the permissible daily noise dose or an equivalent of 87.1 dBA during the 198 minute sampling period which exceeded the action level of 83.8 dBA or 42.5% based on a 9.5 hour work shift. The employer failed to establish and maintain audiometric testing for employees exposed to noise above the action level.

Shop - On or about January 16, 2019, an employee working on the timber profiler and logline-notcher was exposed to noise levels at 67.2% of the permissible daily noise dose or an equivalent of 87.1 dBA during the 198 minute sampling period which exceeded the action level of 83.8 dBA or 42.5% based on a 9.5 hour work shift.
