29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2): The employer did not ensure hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces were corrected or repaired before an employee used the walking-working surface again. When the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard was not guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard is corrected or repaired: Greater Omaha Packing Co., Inc. - 3001 L St. - Blood pit area - Employer is failing to ensure that hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces were corrected before employees used the surfaces. On or about November 8, 2018, a sanitation employee suffered serious injuries after falling through an opening in the stairs. A maintenance employee had removed stair panels to use as floor leveling and failed to replace or guard them in a timely manner.
