OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall and struck-by hazards:     a) Eastbound Lane of Pemberton Road Between Columbine Drive and North Mill Road at Verizon Pennsylvania Utility Pole No. 13, Kennett Square, PA 19348 - The employer did not ensure that an employee did not ride on the rear step of a rear-loading compacting vehicle when the distance travelled exceeded 2/10 mile, thus exposing the employee to struck-by and caught-in-between hazards.  This condition was noted on or about November 13, 2018.    Abatement note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to ensure that no person is to ride on riding steps when the distance travelled exceeds 2/10 mile, as per ANSI Z245.1-1992: Standard for Refuse Collection, Processing and Disposal Equipment - Section 6.2.4.
