29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2): Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, and uprights shall bear on base plates and mud sills or other adequate firm foundation. On or about November 19, 2018, employees performing siding installation from a pump jack scaffold were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 17 feet when the employer failed to ensure that the poles were erected on base plates and mud sills to prevent displacement. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

On or about November 19, 2018, employees performing siding installation from a pump jack scaffold were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 17 feet when the employer failed to ensure that a mid-rail was installed. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
