29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. a) Tool Room - During the time period of on or about November 12-16, 2018, the Takumi turning center did not have machine safe guarding to protect employees from rotating and moving machine parts while the door was open. b) On or about November 13, 2018, the air bender machine did not have adequate machine guarding to protect employees from moving machine parts because the installed two hand controls were not operating correctly.
