29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2):     The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:      182 Route 10 West, The Funplex Amusement Centers, East Hanover, NJ.    The employer had not had instructed its employees on recognizing the hazards they would be exposed to in demolition operations inside the Funplex and how to eliminate those hazards so that interior demolition could take place without injury.                                                    Violation observed on or about 11/21/18.

29 CFR 1926.850(a):     An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations.    182 Route 10 West, The Funplex Amusement Centers, East Hanover, NJ.    The employer had not had a competent person perform an engineering survey prior to interior wall demolition exposing workers to struck-by injuries from a wall collapse.                                                  Violation observed on or about 11/21/18.

29 CFR 1926.854(b):     Wall sections more than one story in height were permitted to stand alone without lateral bracing when the wall section was not origianlly designed to stand alone without such lateral support.    182 Route 10 West, The Funplex Amusement Centers, East Hanover, NJ.    Employees were exposed to struck-by and crushing injuries as the West side of the interior wall was detached from the load-bearing outside wall and the interior wall did not have lateral support.                                               Violation observed on or about 11/21/18.
