29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): (a) In the trench in front of 2778 Diamond Hill Rd: On or about 11/30/2018, an employee in a 5 foot deep trench was not protected from cave-in hazards. Boyle & Fogarty Construction Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection # 1305126, Citation 1, item 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/1/2018, with respect to the workplace at 385 Greenville Ave. Johnston, RI 02919.
