29 CFR 1910.23(b)(13): Employees were carrying an object or load that could cause the employee to lose balance and fall while climbing up or down the ladder. On or about November 14, 2018, an employee fell from a three rung metal ladder while attempting to retrieve a car battery weighting 25 to 30 pounds from a shelving unit measuring about 7 to 8 feet high. The fall resulted in a head injury. No abatement documentation or certification is required for this item.
