Compressed air shall not be used for cleaning purposes except where reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment. On or about December 27, 2018, a compressed air line used for cleaning in the area of the 1230 Jennerjahn Rewinder was being utilized with a dead end pressure of 75 p.s.i.

Except as provided in paragraphs (f)(7) and (f)(8) of this section, the employer shall ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace is labeled, tagged or marked. On or about December 27, 2018, employees working with the Ruling Machine were working with: a) An unlabeled bottle of synthetic GBC ISO 320 Gear, Bearing and Compressor Oil. b) An unlabeled watering can filled with M95021 Chromatint Ruling Blue 0875 Liquid. Pacon Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1910.1200(f)(6)(i)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1050966, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on (date), with respect to a workplace located at 2525 N. Casaloma Drive, Appleton, WI 54913.

When normally enclosed live parts are exposed for inspection or servicing, the working space, if in a passageway or general open space, shall be suitably guarded. On or about December 27, 2018, the area in front of the Shipping Battery Charging Panel was being used to store equipment for the cleaning and servicing of powered industrial vehicle batteries.
