29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about October 17, 2018, the employer, Safe Haven Gutters, LLC, did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards of approximately 22 feet while engaged in residential re-roofing operations. During work activities, an employee fell from the roof of the home (approximately 22 feet) and sustained major injuries requiring hospitalization and surgery. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
