29 CFR 1910.26(a).  The employer must ensure that dockboards are capable of supporting the maximum intended load in accordance with 1910.22(b).  Nestle Mobile Cross Dock Station, 300 W. Stevenson Road, Ottawa, IL.  On or about December 26, 2018 through June 4, 2019, employees operated an electric pallet jack to move palletized loads of ice cream and pizza across dock plates from semi tractor/trailers into the mobile cross dock station and onto direct store delivery trucks.   The employer did not know the rated load capacity of the dock plates and therefore could not ensure that the plates were capable of supporting the maximum intended loads.    Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.19(c).
