Unguarded nip points expose employees to crushing and finger amputations.    Condition noted on January 10, 2019.

Electrical boxes were hanging from the wall or were placed on the floor. Employees are exposed to electrical shock hazards from improperly installed electrical equipment. 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv): Flexible cords and/ or cables were used for purposes prohibited by paragraphs (A) through (F) of 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)    a) Filter Holdings, Inc./Union, NJ - Throughout the Filter Manufacturing Area: A flexible cord was used as a substitute for fixed wiring connected to an electrical outlet box. The electrical outlet box hanging from a flexible cord was connected to another electrical outlet box, which was then connected to a sewing machine. Employees are exposed to electrical shock hazards from improperly installed electrical equipment.     Condition noted on January 10, 2019.
