The employer is failing to protect employees from a fall hazard.  This was most recently documented on January 11, 2019 at 2908 Easy Highway 30, Kearney, Nebraska.  The employer failed to ensure that the open side of the stairs leading to the block plant office was equipped with a stair rail system and handrail.

29 CFR 1910.151(c):   Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  The employer is failing to ensure that an eyewash is available to employees who are exposed to corrosives exposing them to eye and skin injuries. This was documented on January 11, 2019 at 2908 East Highway 30, Kearney, Nebraska.  The employer had several large quantities of corrosive liquid staged in the mixing room.  Employees who entered this room to perform work such as sweeping the floor or working on the distribution system for these corrosive liquids were not provided an eyewash within the work area for immediate emergency use.  Corrosive included but were not limited to BASF Master Delvo with a PH of 3.5 and MasterAir AE 90 with a PH of 10.3.
