29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: Location: On or about 12/10/18, employees installing 47 inch long by 20 inch wide by 2 inch thick steel splice plates were exposed to struck-by hazards while using the Walker NEO 1000 lifting magnets that were not inspected by a competent person.
