29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Location: Production Rooms Employees were exposed to point-of-operation, nip point and rotating part hazards from printing machines. Instance A: The slitters on the Omega inspection machine were unguarded. Instance B: Dies on the Flexigraphic presses were not adequately guarded. Instance C: The interlock for the HP 6000 Coating Unit access door was inoperable. Instance D: Nip points on the ABG Digicon Lite 3 were unguarded. Instance E: A nip point at the application and metering roller at the HP 6000 Roll Lift was unguarded. Instance F: The 'spokes' of a Flexigraphic 650 unwind unit created a rotating part hazard.
