On or about January 14, 2019, two employees of Bold City Roofing & Restoration, the sub contractor on site, under the control of Roberson Roofing, Inc, were working on the one story 5:12 pitch, detached garage of the residence without fall protection and are exposed to falls of approximately 10 feet to the ground below.  b. On or about January 14, 2019, two employees of Bold City Roofing & Restoration, the sub contractor on site, under the control of Roberson Roofing, Inc, were working on the one story 5:12 pitch, main residence without fall protection and are exposed to falls of approximately 10 feet to the ground below.

On or about January 14, 2019 employees had set an aluminum extension ladder against the garage roof line and did not extend the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, exposing employees to fall hazards of 10 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(8): Ladders placed in a location where they could be displaced by workplace activities or traffic, such as in passageways, doorways, or driveways, were not secured to prevent accidental displacement, nor was a barricade used to keep the activities or traffic away from the ladder.  a. On or about January 14, 2019 employees had set up an aluminum extension ladder against the residence to gain access to the roof. The ladder was set at the corner of the driveway near a dumpster and was not secured to the structure to prevent accidental displacement by work activities or traffic, exposing employees to fall hazards of 10 feet to the ground below.
