29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed. a) Refrigerator: The exit door was blocked in front and behind by various items such as but not limited to produce, trash cans, bread racks and a 5 gallon tub. On or about 1/30/19. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19. Paris Produce Company Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3) which was contained in OSHA inspection number1260429, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/24/18 with respect to a workplace located at 211 Old Turnpike Pleasantville, NJ 08232.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Cutting Room: The employer did not provide hazard communication training to employees who used chemicals such as, but not limited to Signet Three Compartment Sink Sanitizer, Industrial Floor Cleaner/ Degreaser, Heavy Duty Non-Acid Washroom Cleaner/ Disinfectant. On or about 1/30/2019. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
