Garick, LLC, Cumming, GA - At the bulk mill, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard of over seven feet when greasing the hammer mill. Guardrails were not installed on each end of the platform that the employee had to stand on, on or about 2/1/19.

29 CFR 1910.29(b)(2): Midrails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, or equivalent intermediate structure members were not installed between the top edge of the guardrail system and the walking/working surface when there was no wall or parapet wall at least 21 inches (53 cm) high.  a) Garick, LLC, Cumming, GA - At the bulk mill, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of six feet in that a mid rail was missing from a section of the platform where employees stood to operate the mill, on or about 2/1/19.             b) Garick, LLC, Cumming, GA - At the bulk mill, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard of over seven feet when greasing the hammer mill. The platform where the employee had to stand on was missing a mid-rail, on or about 2/1/19.
