29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one hand rail: a) Stairwell 3 Southeast Section: On or about January 31, 2019, and at times prior, Jackson Contractor Group, Inc., as the controlling, creating, and correcting contractor, did not ensure that their sub-contractors: Rocky Mountain Electric, Inc., Peak Painting, LLC dba Peak Painting & Drywall, LLC, and Central Plumbing & Heating, Inc., protected their employees from fall hazards while accessing and egressing the stairway that was not equipped with a handrail. b) Stairwell 3 Southeast Section: On or about January 31, 2019, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards while accessing and egressing the stairway. The employer failed to ensure the stairway was equipped with a handrail. Jackson Contractor Group, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1214306, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 17, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1607 17th Street West, Billings, MT 59101.
