29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: WORKSHOP: The rotating tooling rings of the Barco slitting machine, No. 81.1 00-13-0 00179, were unguarded. On or about January 30, 2019, one of gloves worn by the operator of the above machine was pulled into the unguarded tooling rings while inspection tension of the roll bar, and the operator sustained a finger amputation from the incident.
