29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about January 30, 2018, and in times prior thereto, employees were sorting packages near the ends of the conveyors where the cover plate guard openings measured approximately 1/4" to 1/2", exposing workers to a caught-in hazard.
